We Won Big at the Creativepool Awards

Wonder Vision took home 3 wins at the Creativepool Annual Awards this year and we couldn’t be happier.

Our work for the ASICS Novablast 4 won Silver in the #3D category and Bronze in the Animation category. And our work for Lucky Saint Hazy IPA launch campaign won silver in the 3D category. So proud of the team 🥹

The awards reflect the creativity, talent, hard work and effort of the team here at Wonder Vision. We’re grateful to our amazing clients that we worked with, who put their trust in us to bring their stories to life, and we’re thankful to the judges who reviewed our work and to Creativepool for putting on such an awesome ceremony!

It was great to be in the company of some of the best creatives in the industry. The quality of the work across every category was industry-leading and, with so many categories to choose from, the variety of content was a sight to behold. Everything from 3D through to Social Change and Web Design was on offer. It’s always inspiring to be amongst such a high level of creative work and we were pumped to be shortlisted in 3 separate categories.

Key members of the Wonder Vision team made it out to hear if our shortlisted entries would pick up a coveted Creativepool Annual Award. Each category grants Gold, Silver and Bronze awards to the various winners, and we had high hopes for the work we’d submitted.

The past 12 months have seen us go from strength to strength with the quality of output from the studio, so we felt confident we’d take home at least one of the four shortlisted entries we had. Finger crossed!

Our submissions

This year we had two projects shortlisted across 3 categories. Our tech film for the ASICS Novablast 4 was shortlisted in the 3D, Animation and Advertising: Digital categories. Our launch film for Lucky Saint’s Hazy IPA was shortlisted in the 3D category. Plenty of opportunities to win and two projects we’re particularly proud of here at Wonder Vision.

Really outstanding 3D work. The textures and the lighting are mesmerising and truly masterful. They should be extremely proud of this one.

This project caught my attention with the lighting and camera work. So smooth, slow, out of the ordinary for a motion piece. The camera and light makes us pay attention to textural details that are beautifully executed.

The Launch

The Creativepool 2024 Annual Launch was hosted at the Sinfonia Smith Square. It’s an impressive concert hall in the centre of Smith Square, Westminster, London. Originally a church, this Grade I listed building was designed by Thomas Archer and was completed in 1728 as one of the so-called Fifty New Churches.

The architecture itself is stunning – beautifully constructed from stone with the type of epic detail you’d expect from an 18th century church building. An inspiring setting for what would be an extravaganza of creative work.

It was packed out for the night with people, from what felt like hundreds of different agencies and studios attending. With over 50 categories to award from, there was a palpable buzz in the air as everyone waited for the ceremony to kick off.

Awards time!

As the award ceremony kicked off, the drinks and canapes were flowing and the team was tentatively excited to hear how our projects had fared.

The 3D category was the first of the night so we didn’t have to wait long to hear both our projects had picked up silver awards. A great way to kick things off and the team was absolutely buzzing! 3D is obviously the heart and soul of what we do at Wonder Vision so it was great to get the recognition for the quality the studio has been outputting right off the bat.

Shortly after that, announcements for the Animation category began. Another short wait to hear that our project for ASICS had picked up a bronze. A great accolade for the work, especially as it was the only product film in the category alongside a host of character-led animations. Product CGI is one of the two main pillars of our work at Wonder Vision (the other being food and drink CGI), so we’re really proud the work stood out.

That was our last win of the night and we were soon swamped by others who were waiting to hear if they’d won in the categories they’d been shortlisted in (as the books we’d won included all the winners for the night!).

Going for Gold!

The Creativepool Annual is a venerated awards date in most creatives’ calendars. As a community, Creativepool brings together some of the biggest brands, agencies and studios together.

This year was the first year that we’ve picked up awards and so we’re excited to see how we can go from strength to strength in 2025. We’ve got our eyes on a Gold award next time.
